I finally got to listen to the album in its entirety , I was not disappointed in the least .I have been a fan of Mr. Gilmour since I was a child, and own almost every piece of work he has done, that was commercially available. Luck and Strange is in vein with all the works that Mrs. Sampson has worked to create . Well Done! Including track and the barn jams with Mr. Wright was a real treat, thank you for that .

The more I listen to it the more I fall in love with it. There are so many threads in this album that connect it back to other Gilmour solo albums and Pink Floyd albums. There are tunes that evoke memories of classics from Meddle and Animals and from On An Island. Love how the mellow but haunting vocals of Romany give it such a unique feel and how the poignant lyrics remind me of Syd and of the reminiscing of an aging and reflective artist who is grateful for the blessings in his life as well as a whimsical nod to luck and being in the right place at the right time.

Haven’t stopped listening since receiving my Blu-ray copy last week. Another great release by IMHO, the best artist in my lifetime. The last time that I saw David perform was in April of 1975, Pacific Coliseum, Vancouver, BC. As soon as the latest tour was announced I immediately bought tickets for the Hollywood Bowl show on October 30th. Can’t wait for he show! I can only hope that David and I have another album and tour left in us but if not “I am not afraid of dying, you know any time will do, I don’t mind. Why should I be frightened of dying? There’s no reason for it. You’ve got to go sometime.” love David and love Pink Floyd!

David has not disappointed. Again he has pulled out another number one album from his musical genius. The music grabs me from the heart and pulls me in. Thank you David, Polly, Romany and band for the gift of music. See you in NYC.
